Freisa d'Asti 'Sarasino' La Vedetta 2023

The Freisa ‘Sarasino’ from La Vedetta represents an important recovery of the Asti wine tradition. It was Michele Viglino, the owner’s uncle, who chose to preserve this variety on the estate of the winery. Today, his nephew Marco pays tribute to him with this wine. The winemaking involves the use of indigenous yeasts and a brief passage in used barriques to round out the structure. On the nose, hints of dark plum emerge accompanied by notes of violet. On the palate, it expresses firm tannins and a well-balanced freshness. It pairs well with typical Piedmontese cold cuts such as cooked salami.
