
Garg'n'go Angiolino Maule - La Biancara 2024
ArtisanalGarg'n'go is a sparkling wine from Veneto refermented in the bottle. It is not disgorged or filtered: a sort of "col fondo", lively and inviting, perfectly suited as an aperitif. The aromas are delicate and subtle of very young fruit and are the prelude to a tasting of great drinkability and excellent freshness.
The Garg'n'go is a joyful and fresh refermented wine made from Garganega, particularly "dangerous" for its incredible drinkability. Angiolino Maule is a charismatic winemaker, an important reference point in the world of artisanal wines. His winery, La Biancara, is located on the hills of Gambellara, a chosen place for Garganega also due to the volcanic soil from which the lands are composed, reflecting a deep saline texture. A few hectares of vineyard, in the spirit of maximum respect for nature and biodiversity, and with a winemaking process that is as non-invasive as possible. Liquid photographs of place and vintage, nothing more. And that is not little!
The Garg'n'go wine comes from pure Garganega grapes grown on volcanic soils. It belongs to the category of refermented wines, or sparkling wines produced using the ancestral method. This lively white is the result of a first fermentation that occurs in steel and is followed by a bottling that takes place in February. The second fermentation occurs in the bottle naturally, and is due to the addition of must of dried Garganega grapes and therefore rich in sugars, which are transformed into alcohol and carbon dioxide.
The Garg'n'go from La Biancara presents itself in the glass with an almost evanescent bubble and a bright yellow color. On the nose, it is a spring pastoral portrait, featuring notes of elderflower and lime, broom and apple, all surrounded by an almost fairy-like whiteness. The sip is slender and graceful, driven by an irresistible freshness that immediately invites a second taste. Unique drinkability and a bottle finished in a moment, for a carefree bubble that fits on the everyday table, especially with appetizers and snacks based on cold cuts and fried gnocchi.
