The 'Satèn' typology was launched in the 1990s to identify Franciacorta sparkling wines produced exclusively with white berry varieties, characterised by lower atmospheric pressure in the bottle. This very important factor results in a softer, creamier taste, hence the choice of the name 'Satèn', a term derived from 'satin', meaning satin fabric, which also has a clear assonance with the word 'silk'.

Inside the Berlucchi 'Franciacorta Satèn 61' Glass Pack there is a bottle of Franciacorta Satèn '61' from the Berlucchi sparkling wine producer, enclosed in anelegant package signed by the same winery , combined with two fine flute glasses. For the production of Franciacorta Satèn '61' only Chardonnay grapes from the most suitable vineyards of the denomination are used. In the cellar, the grapes first undergo soft pressing, followed by alcoholic fermentation of the must in steel vats. A 10% reserve wine matured in small wooden barrels is added to the vintage wine before bottle fermentation according to the Metodo Classico, combined with at least 24 months of ageing on the lees. Thanks to the lower atmospheric pressure in the bottle, this Franciacorta 'Satèn' stands out for its fine and creamy taste, with a fine softness, yet not without tension and freshness.
