La Rose de Manincor' 2024
Organic and biodynamic"La Rose de Manincor" is a rosé wine of great cleanliness and freshness made in South Tyrol from a blend of different red grapes using the saignée technique. On the nose, it expresses a floral and delicately fruity olfactory profile, bringing to the forefront aromas of raspberries, cherry, alpine herbs, and mountain flowers. On the palate, it is elegant and very smooth, with a refreshing crispness and a zesty salinity.
“La Rose” de Manincor is an intense and fruity wine, born from a blend of red grapes consisting of: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Nero, Petit Verdot, Lagrein, Tempranillo, Syrah. The use of many different grape varieties gives the wine remarkable richness and a wide aromatic range, which is one of its most typical features. The aging in wood on the lees contributes to giving structure and softness, creating a rosé of great charm and personality. A perfect expression of the territory, it is a rosato that confirms the absolute excellence of the wines from this winery in Alto Adige.
The wine “La Rose” de Manincor is produced in one of the oldest estates in the Alto Adige area of Lake Caldaro. The origins of Manincor date back to the early 1600s and today it cultivates about fifty hectares, divided into different plots, in some of the most suitable areas of Alto Adige. The red grapes come from the vineyards of the Manincor estate located in the areas of Seehof, Panholzerhof and Mazzon, at an altitude between 250 and 500 meters above sea level, with a southeast exposure towards Lake Caldaro. The composition of the soils is quite heterogeneous and varies from plot to plot, with the presence of sands and clays, morainic deposits and limestone debris. The rosato is made using the ancient technique of bleeding, taking some must from the red wines, and then vinifying it in white in wooden barrels, in a partially spontaneous manner using indigenous yeasts. The wine ages for about five months before being bottled.
The Rosé “La Rose” de Manincor is an interpretation of the type, which favors fruit and aromatic richness. Far from the slender Provençal versions, it is a rosato with a classic gastronomic vocation, which pairs very well with tomato pasta, seafood stews, smoked salmon, or delicate white meats. Visually, it presents a light and bright salmon pink color. On the nose, it expresses intense and rich aromas, characterized by fragrant notes of cherry,
