Lagrein Reyter 2022

Reyter’s Lagrein is grown on the typical porphyritic soils of Bolzano. It is a refined red wine of great balance, with a rounded palate thanks in part to a brief ageing in very old oak barrels – vessels that impart little substance but allow for optimal micro-oxygenation. On the nose, it is very fruity, with cherry and redcurrant opening up to cloves, liquorice and hints of iodine. On the palate, it is smooth with light tannins, the fruit returning clearly and a very fresh finish. Ideal with game and mature cheeses, it is at its best with herb-braised venison
