The Merlot by Giorgio Cecchetto is a wine in which the starting varietal is easily recognizable. It is therefore an interesting bottle to taste for all those who want to challenge their intuitive abilities, trying to identify a grape variety that is highly appreciated in Veneto. The typical primary aromas of fruit are infused with more balsamic notes, entrusting the sip with the task of bringing freshness to the drinking experience. A label with a simple profile and an interesting price, perfect also for a quality daily consumption.

This Merlot by Cecchetto originates from the owned vineyards cultivated in the Venetian plain crossed by the Piave River. Here, the soils are characterized by a particular subsoil formation, where alluvial gravel dominates. Among the rows, modern plantings coexist with features of “bellussera” vineyards, supported by tall mulberries, and the work can boast of being carried out according to the principles of the “Sostenibilità Viva” certification. The must obtained from the pressing of the grapes ferments in stainless steel containers, macerating with the skins. It is then followed by aging, carried out in steel for a few months, concluding a meticulous process, where attention is paid to every smallest detail.

The red Merlot wine develops in the glass with a ruby color, crossed by slight hues that tend more towards purple. The olfactory spectrum moves on clear and distinct sensations, where small red fruits alternate with balsamic nuances and touches of herbal notes. On the palate, it is smooth, with a sip characterized by a fruity and fresh vein, endowed with good harmony and a good body. A linear label, which always finds a way to be appreciated at the table, especially with meat menus.
