Mezcal Maguey Espadin La Planta - 35cl

The Mezcal ‘Espadín’ La Planta comes to life from agave grown in the rich soil of San Pablo Lachiriega, in Oaxaca, and selected by producer Tomás López. The hearts of the agave are cooked in a conical stone oven and fermented in wooden vats, before distillation in a copper still. On the nose, it is peculiar and very intense, with hints reminiscent of apple compote, balanced smokiness, and a fragrant finish of pink pepper, red fruits, and licorice. On the palate, it is full and harmonious, soft, with a long and slightly smoky finish.
