Nizza Riserva 'La Vigna dell'Angelo' La Barbatella 2022

The Nizza Riserva ‘La Vigna dell’Angelo’ from Cascina La Barbatella is born from the dream of vinifying separately the nine best-exposed rows of the most important vineyard of the winery, planted in 1950. Made from red grapes, it ages for a long time in tonneau and then in bottle where it settles and finds its ideal dimension. On the nose, it is broad and deep, with a side of dark fruit in jam, wilted floral notes, and hints of licorice and cocoa. On the palate, it is austere and structured, full-bodied, with firm and velvety tannins and vibrant freshness, closed by an extremely long finish, ideal with a Barolo braised dish or an aged cheese like Castelmagno.
