Nosiola 'Conzal' Cavit 2025

The Nosiola “Conzal” by Cavit, Cantina Viticoltori del Trentino, is the pure expression of one of the flags of Trentino winemaking. This rare indigenous white grape variety has been present in these lands for centuries and is capable of producing wines of great finesse, subtle and delicate. “Conzal” is a pure Nosiola produced by one of the most important realities of Trentino wine, which gathers numerous social wineries from the area. Founded in 1950, Cavit is able to offer a range of labels that express the best excellences of the region. The grapes come from Nosiola vineyards located in hilly areas, at an altitude of about 350 meters above sea level, in the area of Monte Calavino, characterized by rather deep soils, consisting of calcareous-clay marls. The vines are cultivated in the Trentino pergola style, on small terraces supported by dry stone walls, which stepwise outline the profile of the steep slope of the mountain. The vines are over 30 years old and produce, with low yields, high-quality grapes. The best bunches undergo a brief cold maceration in the press before being gently crushed. The free-run must ferments in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature and the wine matures, still in steel, for about six months before being bottled.

The Nosiola “Conzal” wine by Cavit is the most representative white of Trentino. It is offered in a particularly prestigious version, an expression of an area historically very suited for the cultivation of this ancient indigenous white grape. In the glass, it presents a light straw yellow color, with youthful and bright greenish reflections. Delicate and subtle, it expresses a bouquet characterized by aromas of wildflowers, fragrant notes of apple, white-fleshed fruit, and mountain apricot. On the palate, it is harmonious, pleasantly fruity, with a perfect balance between the softness of the aromas and a clear vein of sapidity, which accompanies the sip towards a finish of good freshness. Its taste, fine and elegant, suggests pairing with freshwater fish, vegetable-based dishes, and first courses with delicate flavors.
