Clos Troteligotte 'Waz-K' Pét-Nat Rouge is a sparkling wine with a refreshing and spirited character. Clos Troteligotte represents an organic and biodynamic winery located in France's Sud Ouest wine-growing region, where it has been committed to enhancing the terroir since 1987. In 2014 the estate obtained organic certification, followed three years later by biodynamic certification. From the artisanal production spirit that characterizes Emmanuel Rybinski, a figure at the helm of the winery, comes this lively and pleasant Ancestral Method.
'Waz-K' Pét-Nat Rouge Clos Troteligotte is made from only Merlot grapes grown on clay-limestone soils. The vines, about 30 years old, are organically and biodynamically certified. Harvesting is done by hand and the grapes are then pressed softly, with the resulting must placed to ferment spontaneously in steel tanks. When the fermentation process is not yet finished, the mass is transferred to the bottle for light frothing according to the Ancestral Method. After a short aging on the lees in glass, manual disgorgement is then carried out.
On visual inspection, the French Ancestral Method 'Waz-K' Pét-Nat Rouge from Clos Troteligotte shows a bright red color tending to rosé, with lively froth. Fragrant and distinct red fruit aromas follow on the nose, combined with pleasant floral and herbaceous sensations. Fresh, drinkable and juicy on the palate, with a delicate and bubbly taste. By virtue of its liveliness and smoothness, Pét-Nat Rouge 'Waz-K' makes an excellent choice for a cheerful aperitif in company, perhaps paired with simple charcuterie boards.
