Pinot Bianco 'In der Lamm' Weingut Abraham 2023

The Pinot Bianco "In der Lamm" from Weingut Abraham is the label that best represents the family tradition and the history of this small estate in South Tyrol. The grapes come, in fact, from a vineyard inherited from the grandfather of the current owner, the ancient core of the property, which constitutes a precious memory of the past.  The vines are meticulously cared for and produce grapes of excellent quality. The simple and very respectful vinification of the raw material allows appreciation of the delicate and refined personality of a great grape variety, which expresses itself through notes of finesse and aromatic elegance.

"In der Lamm" is a version of Pinot Bianco with remarkable personality, made by a winery that works with great passion. Weingut Abraham manages an estate in the Appiano area, following principles of sustainability and practicing environmentally friendly viticulture. The wine is made from grapes from a vineyard in Cornaiano, planted between 1958 and 1962. The parcel is located at an altitude at 500 meters above sea level, in the locality of Weiler Weiss Haus, with a sunny exposure facing west. The soils are of morainic nature, also featuring gravel of ancient volcanic origin. The old vines are trained on pergolas and produce clusters with small berries, characterized by a remarkable aromatic concentration. At the end of the harvest, the grapes are carefully selected and subjected to a very gentle pressing. Fermentation takes place spontaneously in 500-liter tonneaux. The wine matures on the fine lees, always in wood, also undergoing malolactic fermentation, and then completes its aging with six months in steel tanks. It is bottled only with a very light filtration.

The Pinot Bianco "In der Lamm" from Weingut Abraham is one of the most interesting South Tyrolean versions of the famous French grape variety. The richness of the grapes and the meticulous care in the cellar make it an absolute top label. It presents a bright light yellow color. The aromatic profile is characterized by refined finesse, with floral scents, aromas of pear, white peach,Golden apple, mineral nuances of flint. Fragrant and clear, it offers a sip of great elegance, with delicate aromas and a harmonious finish, fresh and savory. Perfect with first courses featuring vegetables or delicate fish.
