'Rosafino' Magnum 2020

The Magnum “Rosafino” reveals its credentials right from the name; it is indeed a rosé made near the famous village of Portofino. A project born from an idea of Luca Botter and carried on together with winemaker Marco Flacco. The intent of this rosé is to create a delicate and fresh expression, young and light, ideal for sharing on a beautiful summer day in good company, accompanying a simple fish menu (including sushi), cold dishes, or simply some snacks or finger food. Its charm, which evokes the charm and style of the rosés from Saint Tropez, is the undisputed protagonist of the tasting and the packaging. The label, carefully designed, depicts a harmonious frame of marine waves, representing the clear waters of the Ligurian sea, highlighted by bright pink lines that leave space for the name in the center. A truly fascinating and irresistible rosé, created only in a few bottles in Magnum format that, with its satisfying and smooth drinkability, risks finishing too soon.

The Rosato “Rosafino” comes from a careful selection of Grenache grapes from a old vineyard overlooking the sea in Sestri Levante. The soil has a clay-silty matrix, covered on the surface with sandstones. The yield is kept low and the harvest takes place in the second decade of September. Fermentation occurs in steel at controlled temperature without contact with the skins and lasts a total of 9 days. The aging continues for several months in the same steel containers before being bottled.

The “Rosafino” Magnum expresses the refined elegance of Portofino. It colors the glass with its luminous and rosy attire, with elegant orange reflections. The olfactory profile, fresh and crisp, offers suggestive fruity sensations, starting from a distinct note of peach juice and continuing with tones of berries, apricot, and tropical fruit. An agile freshness guides the tasting, making it lean and drinkable, with an enveloping texture and a pleasant salty finish. Enchanting!
