The Saumur Rouge “Point Zéro” from Domaine Clo is an emblematic label from the central area of the vast vineyard of the Loire Valley. The “Point Zéro” Saumur Rouge from Domaine Clo is produced near Vaudelnay. The estate is located in the Anjou-Saumur area and covers an area of about 25 hectares. The agronomic management is very attentive to nature and is carried out following the rules of organic farming, without any use of chemical substances. To promote environmental biodiversity, the vineyards are situated within a context rich in trees and shrubs that create a landscape varied and complex rural landscape. The Cabernet Franc vines are about 25 years old and are cultivated on clay and loam soils, particularly suitable for red grape varieties. Once the harvest operations are completed, the grapes are sent for fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with maceration on the skins for a few weeks. The wine ages for 12 months in steel tanks and for 6 months in bottle.

Visually, it displays a beautiful bright ruby color with youthful purple reflections. The olfactory profile is dominated by the richness of aromas of small dark berries, currants, blueberries, wild blackberries, sour cherries, elegant floral hints of violet, light vegetal notes of aromatic herbs, green pepper, and mineral sensations of graphite and wet stone.
