Soave Classico 'Scalette' Giannitessari 2024
Callmewine's FavouritesThe Soave Classico "Scalette" is a pleasant and immediate white wine, vinified and aged in steel. It has a delicate, subtle, and pleasant aromatic profile, made of wildflowers, wild herbs, and white fruit. The sip is agile and smooth, balanced, and very pleasant.
The “Scalette” is a Veneto white that allows us to discover flavors and sensations that tell the perfect synergy between the land and the passionate soul of Gianni Tessari. It is a Soave Classico that combines two Veneto grape varieties, Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave, in an embrace of gentle aromas. A label with which the Giannitessari winery reaffirms its production philosophy, according to which every wine already exists in nature, and the work of man consists only in helping it to come to light, in a completely spontaneous manner. An approach that aims at the enhancement of each single parcel, a true enological objective that guides the daily choices made by Gianni, both in the vineyard and in the winery.
The Giannitessari winery produces this Soave Classico “Scalette” starting from a blend of indigenous white grape varieties, where, alongside Garganega, we find a small percentage of Trebbiano di Soave. The grapes, hand-picked during the harvest and rigorously selected, are softly pressed, and then fermented in stainless steel containers at a temperature controlled between 14 and 16 degrees. The maturation phase follows, carried out always in steel for a variable period between 6 and 8 months.
"Scalette" is a Soave Classico that, in the glass, presents itself with a straw yellow color, light and quite transparent. The combination of aromas that stand out on the nose tells of delicate and subtle notes, where floral and herbaceous aromas alternate with hints of white-fleshed fruit. On the palate, it is light-bodied, easy-drinking, with a straightforward and well-balanced sip, making it a true pleasure to drink. A white with which the Giannitessari winery presents one of the most important denominations in all of Veneto.
