Verdicchio di Jesi Passito 'Lina' Santa Barbara 2023 - 50cl

Santa Barbara’s Verdicchio di Jesi Passito ‘Lina’ is a sweet wine dedicated to the mother of Stefano Antonucci, the estate’s owner. Some of the grapes are left to overripen on the vine, whilst others are left to dry in crates; a small proportion is aged in barriques, imparting pleasant spicy notes. On the nose, it is an explosion of candied tropical fruit, with delicate hints of spice and floral notes. On the palate, it is creamy and velvety, underpinned by a lively freshness and a savoury, slightly bitter finish, a characteristic typical of Verdicchio. Excellent paired with blue cheeses, or with a sour cherry tart
