The Vermentino from Gallura is a fresh and mineral wine that fully reflects the Sardinian territory. A versatile and unexpected wine, with a young organoleptic profile, characterized by citrus and herbaceous notes, but that surprises with its enveloping drinkability and elegant persistence on the palate. Thanks to its good structure and pronounced sapid vein, it is the perfect accompaniment to fish dishes

The Vermentino di Gallura Superiore ‘Kintari’ from the Sardinian winery Sa Raja is a bottle with a fruity and mineral aromatic profile that recalls the characteristics of Vermentino and the Gallura territory. This area, located in the north-eastern part of Sardinia, is distinguished by the presence of cork oak forests and imposing granite boulders that tell the story of the soils on which the vineyards are rooted.

The ‘Kintari’ Vermentino di Gallura Superiore Sa Raja is made with pure Vermentino grapes grown in the municipalities of Telti and Calangianus, near the city of Olbia, at an altitude between 400 and 500 meters above sea level. The vineyards have an average age of about 20 years and rest on granite-based soils that are partly sandy loam and partly clayey-sandy, characterized by a strong presence of quartz stones and a south-east exposure. During the first decade of September, manual harvesting of the bunches takes place, which are then subjected to destemming and soft pressing at low temperature. The alcoholic fermentation occurs for 15 days in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16-18 °C and the liquid remains to mature on the fine lees for 6 months, without undergoing malolactic fermentation.

The Vermentino di Gallura Superiore Sa Raja ‘Kintari’ has a straw yellow color with brilliant greenish reflections. The nose presents herbaceous and mineral notes accompanied by hints of citrus, summer fruit, and flowers. On the palate, it is deep and fragrant, with an almost velvety softness that combines with pleasant freshness and a strong saline imprint, elements that lead to a persistent tasting finish. A perfect white wine to pair with seafood cuisine, particularly with traditional Sardinian dishes like fregola with clams.
