Aberlour's 12-year-old Double Cask Matured Whisky is a Speyside Scotch, aged for 12 years in traditional casks and then in old Sherry casks: delicate and smooth aromas and a warm and complex taste, with sweet and very balanced aromatic notes, slightly spicy

Aberlour's 12 Year Old Double Cask Matured Whisky is an elegant whisky that has its roots in the heart of Speyside, Scotland's most famous and renowned whisky-producing region. Just over half of Scotland's distilleries are located in this area, known for producing particularly elegant whiskies. Aberlour is located where the two rivers Lour and Spey meet, whose crystal-clear waters are used in the production process, an essential element of the production process and contribute to defining the distillery's stylistic identity. Aberlour is an authentic expression of a single distillery and a single type of barley: its single malts convey consistency, tradition and a deep connection to their place of origin, clearly distinguishing themselves from blended whiskies in terms of purity and personality.

Aberlour Whisky Double Cask Matured 12 Years Old is produced according to strict criteria, in compliance with Scottish regulations that require a minimum ageing period of three years. Maturation lasts for twelve years, the time necessary for the distillate to fully develop its complexity and harmony. The whisky is matured in oak casks previously used for bourbon and sherry, a choice that enriches the aromatic profile with deep and layered nuances. The distillery is sheltered from strong winds and high temperatures, but allows the casks to 'inhale' the humidity and fragrance of the Highland breeze.

In the glass, Aberlour's 12-year-old Double Cask Matured Whisky has a bright amber colour with elegant ruby highlights. The nose reveals a delicate and rounded profile, with hints of ripe fruit and red apple intertwined with soft and enveloping notes. Initially gentle and caressing on the palate, it then opens up to more pronounced and edgy hints, where the sweet and oxidative notes of sherry interact with intense red fruits. The finish is long and warm, with great persistence, with hints of ash and pepper that close the sip with character and depth. A single malt of remarkable elegance, capable of winning over both enthusiasts and those who wish to approach the authentic charm of Speyside.
