“The Smoky Ten” is a 10-Year-Old Single Malt Whisky, produced by a historic distillery in Speyside. Benriach was founded by John Duff towards the end of the 19th century and has always stood out for its production of intense and rich Single Malts, thanks to excellent malt and the pure water from local springs. In addition to the classic production in Speyside style, in the early 1970s, Benriach also began producing whisky with malted barley, using peat from the Highlands. From this innovation gave rise to the Smoky labels, which present a slightly smoky and toasted profile. Before the creation of the final blend and bottling, the spirits are aged for 10 years in barrels previously used for aging American Bourbon, Jamaican Rum, and new toasted oak barrels.
