"The Sweet Toast of American Oak" is a broad, smooth and intense Single Malt Whisky from Speyside, raised for 12 years in virgin Kentucky white oak barrels. The nose has a rich fruity note of apricot and apple, accompanied by spicy and honey nuances. Definitely soft and enveloping, it lends itself to mixing to create original Whiskey Sour

The Single Malt Whisky “The Sweet Toast of American Oak” Balvenie, aged 12 Years in white oak barrels from Kentucky, is a distillate that is appreciated especially for its sweet and smooth character, for its sip characterized by gentle fruity aromas, enriched by evolving notes that enhance its enveloping nuances, making it more complex and multifaceted. It is the ideal bottle for those who love the style of the Speyside region. It is excellent to taste neat, on the rocks, or to create refined versions of Whisky Sour.

The Single Malt “The Sweet Toast of American Oak” 12 Years is produced by the historic Balvenie Distillery. The Whisky is born from a continuous search for the best woods for aging, more suitable for enhancing the peculiar characteristics of Speyside distillates, without altering their typical aromatic profile. Kelsey McKechnie and Gemma Paterson discussed extensively to find the right barrels for this label. The basic idea was to create an even softer, sweeter, and fruitier version of Whisky. The choice finally fell on the Kentucky Virgin Oak barrels from Kelvin Cooperage, sourced from Louisville. It is indeed about particularly precious containers, made with carefully toasted white oak wood, which release elegant notes of vanilla, marzipan, and hazelnut. Before use, the barrels undergo a new deeper toasting at The Balvenie Cooperage, to enhance the wood notes. The Whisky rests for 12 years in the barrels, in order to soften its aromatic profile.

“The Sweet Toast of American Oak” from Balvenie Distillery is a 12-Year aged Single Malt Whisky. It is a classic and perfect expression of the traditional aromatic profile of Speyside distillates, enriched by notes of American oak. In appearance, it presents a rather intense amber color, crossed by bright reflections. The olfactory picture is characterized by a rich and complex aromatic spectrum, opening with soft notes of malt, citrus honey, caramel, vanilla, cinnamon, sweet oriental spices, fragrances of bitter orange peel, dehydrated apricot, candied ginger, dried fruit, coconut, toasted almond, and memories of noble woods. The sip is warm and enveloping, seductive and sweet, with a finish that returns to pleasant and satisfying fruity notes.
