Philippe Bouchard

Maison Philippe Bouchard is a historic house from Burgundy, heir to one of the families with the longest history in the region. Its roots trace back to Michel Bouchard, the founder who lived between the 17th and 18th centuries, first a merchant and then a winemaker and negociant in Beaune. In 1949, the family purchased the first plots in the Côte de Beaune, while Maison Philippe Bouchard was established in 1985 by Philippe, the eighth generation of merchants, along with his son Nicolas-Rémi. Since 2015, the house has been part of the Maison François Martenot group, with which it has reached out to the world.

Vineyard

Maison Philippe Bouchard offers a comprehensive interpretation of the mosaic of Burgundy's terroir, from Chablis to Côte de Nuits, from Côte de Beaune to Mâconnais, up to the sunny slopes of Beaujolais. Each denomination and each plot is carefully selected to express the uniqueness of the soil, exposure, and climate. This quest is based on strong and lasting ties with partner winemakers, united by the same philosophy: to preserve authenticity and enhance the terroir. Recently, the selection has expanded to include the crus.of Beaujolais, with the delicious elegance of Gamay in harmony with the Burgundian spirit.

Wines

In the cellar, Maison Philippe Bouchard gives voice to the great grape varieties of the region, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, accompanied by Aligoté and, in Beaujolais, Gamay. The range covers the entire Burgundy hierarchy, from regional appellations to Chablisien, from Villages to the most prestigious crus, with an entry line in Vin de France. The work combines a rigorous parcel selection with modern techniques, respecting traditional knowledge and biodiversity. The result is elegant and characterful whites and reds, true to their vintage and terroir, between living heritage and contemporary emotion.
