Zweigelt Christina 2022

Christina’s Zweigelt comes from the heart of the Carnuntum region in Austria, just outside Vienna. This grape variety, one of Austria’s most iconic, was bred at the start of the 20th century by the geneticist Friedrich Zweigelt by crossing two existing varieties. The family-run winery switched to organic farming in 2013 and cultivates its vineyards without the use of chemicals. On the nose, there are notes of crisp cherries, floral hints, balsamic notes and spicy undertones on the finish. On the palate, it is smooth, juicy and lively with delicate tannins.
