"Monleale" by Walter Massa is an opulent red wine, but never fat, fleshy, round, which never fails to juiciness born by the inspiration, passion and ability to Walter Massa. A real character in the Italian wine scene that has gained an audience precisely because of its philosophy: a thought absolutely unconventional, different from others, never prone to fashion and market trends. A philosophy that was born in a small plot of land between Liguria, Piedmont and Lombardy. As if Walter was able to combine the skills and talents of these three terroir, before rediscovering Timorasso and then giving us unique labels, such as this "Monleale". We are among the rows of a country that does not reach 700-800 souls, a country is 300 meters above sea level, on soils rich in limestone. Grapes harvested in the last week of September and macerated for 10-12 days. Intense garnet in color, with heady notes of chocolate, cherry and balsamic notes on the nose, the "Monleale" is the essence of a character, Walter Massa!
