The Barolo "Sorano" is a full-bodied and intense red wine, aged for 24 months in barriques and 12 months in large casks. In the glass, it presents a ruby red color with garnet reflections, offering earthy and mineral notes on a background of red fruit to the nose. On the palate, it is noble, savory, fresh, and soft, with beautiful tannins and great persistence.

The Barolo "Sorano" by Claudio Alario is produced in the territory of the municipality of Serralunga d'Alba, famous for delivering a Barolo intense, deep, and long-lived. The Additional Geographical Mention Sorano is located to the north of the Serralunga area, right in the part that juts between the territories of the municipalities of Castiglione Falletto and Diano d'Alba, rising towards Fontanafredda. A particularly prestigious area, which produces great wines, confirming the extraordinary fame that Barolo has now acquired among enthusiasts worldwide.

The Barolo Sorano is obtained from vineyards cultivated on the beautiful hills of Sorano in Serralunga d'Alba. The vines are about ten years old and are planted in Guyot, with a density of about 4,000/5,000 plants per hectare and managed with low yields, not exceeding 60 quintals per hectare. After the harvest, the nebbiolo grapes are sent to classic red winemaking, using temperature-controlled rotofermenters. At the end of fermentation, the Barolo is pressed and matures for 24 months in French oak barriques, for another 12 months in large barrels of 30.hectoliters, before concluding the long aging period with 2 years in bottle.

The Barolo "Sorano" wine, as per the tradition of the Serralunga d'Alba area, is a red important and structured, with great character and a remarkable propensity for aging. The color is light ruby red with garnet reflections. The olfactory profile is of great finesse and elegance with notes of small red berry fruits, floral hints, and delicate boisé nuances. The taste is deep, intense, persistent with complex and evolved aromas that shift towards tertiary notes, a tannic texture of fine quality and balanced freshness. The finish is long and persistent.
