The Bas Armagnac VSOP from Chateau de Laubade possesses all the refined elegance of the spirits from this ancient Domaine, which has always represented the tradition and classic style of the region. It is an Armagnac with a soft and enveloping face, that captivates from the very first sip for its rich and complex bouquet. A Bas Armagnac that perfectly balances fruity aromas with the tertiary notes that derive from aging in wood, creating a perfect taste harmony.
The Bas Armagnac VSOP is produced by Chateau de Laubade, located near Sorbets d'Armagnac, managing a property of about 100 hectares, cultivated with the typical grape varieties of the region: Ugni Blanc, Baco, Colombard, and Folle Blanche, which are traditionally intended for the production of base wines to be distilled to make Armagnac. Despite the considerable size of the Domaine, the entire distillation process still follows ancient artisanal practices with a large still. Once the distillation process of the base wines is completed, the Armagnac is placed to age in oak barrels from Gascony, made with wood from the forests surrounding the estate, selected directly by the Maitre de Chai. The distillate matures in wood for a period ranging from 6 to 12 years before being bottled and put on sale.
The Bas Armagnac Chateau de Laubade VSOP represents the label of tradition, the distillate capable of narrating in a few sips the excellence of the Armagnac from this extraordinary French region. In the glass, it presents itself with an elegant golden yellow color. On the nose, it is refined and seductive, with aromas of ripe fruit, plum, citrus peel, vanilla, and delicately woody notes. The palate entry is soft, with rich fruit always in the foreground and a particularly harmonious and persistent finish.
