Rare winesCristal Champagne Rosé is a masterpiece of richness, power, energy and balance: perfect and paradigmatic synthesis between Pinot Nero and Chardonnay, obtained with maceration on red skins, vinification in steel and wooden barrels and aging on the lees in bottle for 8 years. It spings out complex sensations of fresh citrus, red flowers, dried fruit and candied fruit. The taste is rich and intense, of great minerality and freshness, with a very long persistence
The Champagne Rosé Brut “Cristal” by Louis Roederer is produced by one of the legendary Houses of Champagne, which has been operating in Reims since as far back as 1776. Its fame is linked to the name of the most famous label, Cristal, specifically created in 1876 for Tsar Alexander II of Russia. The Rosé version was born exactly one hundred years later, precisely to celebrate the birth of the label and enrich the range with another bottle of absolute excellence, which has now become part of the select circle of great Champagnes known worldwide.
The Rosé Brut “Cristal” by Louis Roederer is a Champagne of great expressive purity. The cuvée has been created from a careful selection of old parcels of Pinot Noir present in the Grand Cru d’Aÿ territory, which are now all managed under biodynamic farming. The chalky soils, with a high percentage of gypsum, give the grapes a unique finesse and elegance, combined with a clear mineral freshness. The blend is composed of the best vins clairs of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, about 17% vinified in oak barrels. 16% of the base wine undergoes malolactic fermentation, to soften the wine's profile a bit. The sparkling process and the second fermentation take place in the bottle according to the Champenoise Method, and the Champagne rests sur lattes for 8 years before disgorgement.
The Champagne “Cristal” Rosé is a true champion of the category. It is a high-end label, dedicated to true connoisseurs and lovers of luxury. The color is pale pink with bright and luminous reflections. The perlage is very fine and delicate. The olfactory profile is refined, with floral scents, citrus aromas, small berries, pastry notes, dried fruit, delicate hints of soft oriental spices, iodized and mineral sensations. The sip is of great gustatory harmony, elegant and velvety, with extremely delicate aromas, a remarkable persistence, which extends towards a fresh finish and a refined chalky minerality.
