The Chardonnay by La Tunella is a fresh and lean white wine from the Colli Orientali del Friuli. The aromatic spectrum is decidedly tropical and exotic, followed by notes of crunchy citrus and wildflowers that move on a simple and fresh structure, delicate and pleasantly juicy
The Friulian wine Chardonnay La Tunella is synonymous with success and conviviality at the table, both during the happiest occasions and in more formal situations. It is indeed a product that is highly versatile in the kitchen, which thanks to a beautiful balance between freshness and sapidity encourages repeated sipping, particularly suitable for pairing with fish dishes and fresh cheeses. The starting varietal, Chardonnay, announces itself on the nose with typical hints of exotic and tropical fruit, delicate and fragrant, always well-ordered. A label that deserves a place in the cellar of all enthusiasts of excellent Friulian white wines.
The Chardonnay signed by La Tunella comes from grapes of the same international varietal, cultivated using the monocapovolto and guyot systems within the DOC of the Colli Orientali del Friuli. The bunches are harvested during the first week of September, when they reach the right ripeness. The grapes undergo cryomaceration for 36 hours at a temperature of 4 degrees, and the must obtained from pressing ferments in steel containers for 30-40 days at a controlled temperature. Then follows the refinement, in which the wine remains to mature in steel for a few months, until the bottling procedures begin.
This white Chardonnay presents itself visually with a typically straw-yellow color. The olfactory examination highlights subtle and crunchy notes, reminiscent of exotic and tropical fruit, accompanied by sensations that tend towards floral in the finish. On the palate, it is light-bodied, with a refreshing sip characterized by a decidedly smooth sapid vein. A tasty bottle, with which the La Tunella winery confirms its prominent role within the terroir of the Colli Orientali del Friuli.
