If you are fortunate enough to have vintage bottles, special reserves, or wines meant for long aging in your cellar, which you have carefully preserved for a long time, then you should not risk damaging the cork when you decide to taste the wine using the Coravin. Keeping this specific need in mind, Coravin has designed a thinner needle that is less invasive, suitable for older corks that may have lost some elasticity and density over time. The Vintage needle is very delicate and is particularly suitable for use with corks that are expected to be more fragile. Like all Coravin needles, it is made of steel with a non-stick coating that facilitates its use. It guarantees about a hundred pours and can be used with all Coravin models, except for Timeless Eleven or Pivot.
