The "Erasmo" is the flagship product of the entire range offered by the Maria Pia Castelli winery, a small production reality in the Marche region located in Monte Urano. It is a red made from 100% Montepulciano grapes, where the long aging period, totaling five years between wood and bottle, helps to develop a complex personality on the nose, resulting in a sip that is satisfying and balanced. A label to give to all those who are passionate about full-bodied red wines.

This wine "Erasmo" is born from the pure grapes of a red berry variety that has ancient roots in the Marche region, the Montepulciano. It is a variety that the Maria Pia Castelli winery cultivates according to organic farming principles, with vines that are about 20 years old. We find ourselves in a predominantly clay terroir, characterized by iron components, where yields are kept low, never exceeding 25 quintals per hectare. The grapes, carefully selected during the harvest phase, ferment spontaneously in oak barrels, macerating for over 20 days, undergoing malolactic fermentation in barrique. The aging takes place in barrique, lasting a full 24 months, and continues, after bottling, for another 3 years directly in glass.

The "Erasmo" is a wine that reveals itself with a ruby red color, particularly intense and deep. The bouquet of aromas enveloping the nose tells of notes of berries, enriched by spicier and balsamic touches, which contribute to making the olfactory profile of this product complex. On the palate, it is full-bodied, balanced, with a sip that has pleasant freshness, also enhanced by a finely integrated tannic structure; it finishes with a persistent finish, characterized by a particularly fruity aftertaste.
