Frappato 'Bell'assai' Donnafugata 2024
The Frappato "Bell'Assai" is a fresh, fragrant and immediate red wine born on the sandy soils of the Vittoria area, in southeastern Sicily. It expresses aromas of violets, roses and small red fruits. The sip is clean, dynamic, soft and pleasant, with very fine and subtle tannins. Excellent also with flavorful fish dishes
The wine “Bell’Assai” is a Frappato characterized by a beautiful bright color, reminiscent of ruby red. The nose is orderly and clean, presenting refreshing notes, where floral aromas and small red fruit can be found. On the palate, it is light-bodied, easy to drink, and smooth, with a sip marked by a fine tannic structure. A red that is immediately understandable, straightforward, which represents a very valid companion when one does not know which bottle to put on the table: it is indeed very versatile in the kitchen, and pairs well with various preparations and recipes, even those based on fish.
