Grappa Invecchiata 'Oltre il DiLidia' Berta
The Grappa "Oltre il DiLidia" is a reserve grappa aged in barrels used for Marsala and aromatic wines from Piedmont. It is smooth, complex and seductive, with charming aromatic notes of ripe fruits, spices and raisins. The taste is warm and rich
The Aged Grappa "Oltre il DiLidia" signed by Berta is a distillate with a very interesting aromatic range. The base of the aromas is well represented by the aromaticity of Moscato, on which hints of Barbera are grafted but, above all, the sweet and enveloping touches that recall Marsala. The sip is announced to be linear and smooth, with a soft and enveloping taste, intense from an aromatic point of view. A bottle to share after dinner, with guests and passionate friends.
"Oltre il DiLidia" by Berta is an Aged Grappa that comes from a careful assembly of different Grappe, distilled using the traditional discontinuous steam current method. The Grappe specifically used are those obtained from the processing of the pomace of Moscato and Barbera, aged in barrels that previously contained Marsala. These woods, in fact, once emptied, could no longer be used for the aging of other wines, as they were soaked with the typical aromatic notes of Marsala: hence the idea of using them for aging of the distillates. A truly very interesting insight, which is still the basis of successful labels signed by the Berta distillery.
"Oltre il DiLidia" Berta presents itself to the eye with a golden yellow color, endowed with a particular chromatic concentration. The nose is broad and generous, where yellow-fleshed fruit mixes with spices and light nuances of dried grapes. It enters the mouth with a velvety, warm and intense enveloping development; it offers a great aromatic taste richness. A label that arises from Lidia's intuition, which ideally unites the Sicilian sun of Marsala with the aromaticity of Moscato and the structure of Piedmontese Barbera.
