The "Laghiglione" by Villa Schinosa is a red wine produced in the Murgia region of Puglia based on Primitivo and Syrah that is aged in barrels for 8 months. On the nose, it exudes intense aromas of ripe red fruit and spices, offering a rich, dense, and soft sip that finishes with a long range of fruits.

The “Laghiglione” is a red wine that comes from vineyards set in the environmental context of the Apulian Murgia, an area where the Mediterranean scrub can grow lush, imparting some of its aromas to this bottle, which has a distinctly territorial character. The sip is harmonious and linear, responsible for a smooth drinking experience, finishing by reminding us of the flesh of red fruits. A label that, among its many qualities, also presents itself with an incredibly low price!

This “Laghiglione” is produced by the Villa Schinosa winery starting from a blend where an international grape variety, Syrah, is combined with 60% Primitivo. Both varieties are cultivated using the trellis system, growing in parcels whose subsoil is characterized by being rich in clay and limestone. The manual harvest takes place within the first half of September, and the harvested bunches are destemmed. The must ferments in steel tanks at low temperatures for 15 days. The liquid is then transferred to mature for 8 months in Slavonian oak barrels, then continue to refine for a few months in the bottle.

The wine “Laghiglione” signed by Villa Schinosa presents itself to the eye with a typically ruby color, crossed by shades that lean more towards violet. The nose is inviting, and opens with touches of ripe fruit, followed by more spicy and light hints of Mediterranean scrub. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, very enveloping-soft, supported by a precious freshness, where the sip feels balanced, harmonious, and consistent with the aromas already discovered during the previous olfactory analysis. A versatile red at the table, easily paired with cold cuts and cured meats as well as with important second courses of red meat and also game.
