Callmewine's FavouritesEnergic and lively semi-sparkling red wine, with an aromatic personality that is clear and mineral and with smooth scents of flowers and white and red fruit
The Bottle Fermented Lambrusco di Sorbara ‘Homage to Gino Friedmann’ is a sparkling red wine with sublime liveliness and pleasantness produced by the Cantina Sociale di Carpi e Sorbara. This label is dedicated to Gino Friedmann, a visionary agricultural entrepreneur who in the first half of the last century gave a strong boost to the agri-food sector of the province of Modena by introducing machinery and equipment in line with the technology of the time and rationalizing agricultural practices. Friedmann was also a pioneer of modern cooperative wineries, which until then had been represented by heterogeneous and unprofitable realities.
Cantina Sociale di Carpi e Sorbara Lambrusco di Sorbara Bottle Fermented ‘Homage to Gino Friedmann’ is made from only Lambrusco di Sorbara grapes grown in predominantly clayey soils. Once harvested, the grapes undergo a gentle pressing, followed by the first alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The slight sparkling occurs in the bottle after an adequate period of rest on the fine lees.the wine is released directly onto the market, thus undergoing no disgorgement.
Visually, the Lambrusco di Sorbara Bottle Fermented ‘Homage to Gino Friedmann’ from Cantina Sociale di Carpi e Sorbara presents a delicate color between rosé and ruby, slightly hazy, crossed by a dense and persistent foam. The nose is fresh and delicate with aromas of pomegranate, cherry, and white-fleshed fruit that meet hints of yeast and floral notes of rose, violet, and cyclamen. The taste is vertical, light, and lively, made even more dynamic by the excellent freshness and the fine tannin. In the finish, savory and fruity sensations emerge, emphasized by the soft effervescence.
