The Malbec from Vinos de Potrero is an Argentine red wine that expresses the intense and warm character of the grape and the freshness and purity of the Valle de Uco, a wine region southwest of Mendoza at the foot of the Andes. It expresses floral and mineral aromas with hints of cherry and currant, through a sip rich in material and concentration, with a nice tannic grip and a clear freshness

The Vinos de Potrero Malbec is a red wine with an aromatic profile fruity, mineral, and gently spiced. Vinos de Potrero represents the project undertaken in 2008 by former footballer Nicolas Burdisso together with his wife Belén Soler Vallé, who immediately entrusted the skilled winemaker Bernardo Bossi Bonilla. The Spanish word “potrero” identifies the improvised “street” football fields where Argentine children and teenagers develop their football talent. Just like the footballers who learn to play on the difficult street fields, the vines cultivated in the dry and sunny climate of Gualtallary, hot during the day and cold at night, will manage to bring out the best of themselves and the place.

Valle de Uco Vinos de Potrero Malbec is made from the homonymous variety worked in purity. The vines, rooted in calcareous soils, are located at more than 1,350 meters above sea level. After harvesting, the bunches are transferred to the winery where they undergo a cold pre-fermentation maceration of 5 days. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in tanks and concrete eggs, with extraction techniques adapted each time according to the vintage. Once the fermentation process is completed, the mass rests for 6 months in first and second passage oak barrels before bottling.

The Malbec from the Mendoza winery Vinos de Potrero has an intense red color. On the nose, it releases floral perceptions of geranium, red and violet flowers, combined with notes of small red fruits and hints of vegetal, mineral, and spicy. Warm and full-bodied the entry in the mouth, made more dynamic by the good freshness that anticipates the tannic closure. An Argentine Malbec of excellent typicity, which makes it suitable for traditional dishes such as grilled meats seasoned with chimichurri, a sauce made from parsley, garlic, and chili.
