The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo "Marina Cvetic" is a full-bodied and structured wine, one of the most famous reserves of the Masciarelli winery, aged in barrique for 24 months. Broad and powerful on the nose, with aromas of cherries, fruit preserves, panforte, and Mediterranean scrub, on the palate it is warm, soft, full, and complex. A great Abruzzese red, with great longevity in Magnum format

The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Riserva "Marina Cvetic" is the undisputed jewel of the renowned Abruzzese winery Masciarelli. One of the most historic and established companies in the Italian wine scene, born from the entrepreneurial genius of Gianni Masciarelli in the locality of San Martino sulla Marrucina, in the province of Chieti.

The first vintage produced of this Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Riserva by Masciarelli is 1997, conceived as a sweet tribute from Gianni to the woman who forever changed his life: Marina Cvetic. The grapes for this Riserva come from as many as eight municipalities, spread across three different provinces, with altitudes ranging from 200 to 400 meters above sea level. Among these, we also find the infamous crus of Colle di Paolo, fonte Filippo, Schiavone, and Colle Rosina. Once at the winemaking cellar, the grapes are vinified in stainless steel tanks at controlled and constant temperature and the wine will subsequently be aged for at least 12 months, depending on the vintage, in first or second passage French oak barriques

The Riserva Montepulciano d'Abruzzo "Marina Cvetic" from the Masciarelli winery is a juicy and fleshy expression of cherry in all its facets, from the under-spirit cherry, to the summer durone, and to the jam. It releases an intoxicating progression of sweet spice notes such as cardamom, tobacco, licorice, and star anise, accompanied by a balsamic base of mulberry and eucalyptus.
