Posca Bianca Orsi Vigneto San Vito is a unique and special white wine, because it is a perpetual wine, that is, the result of the monthly topping up of a tank started in 2011, which is topped up from time to time with new vintages. The result is a very fragrant wine, in which notes of tropical fruit, white peach and citrus fruits stand out, while the sip is fresh, balanced and very persistent

The agricultural estate Orsi Vigneto San Vito presents the ‘Posca Bianca’, a very rare interpretation crafted through the perpetual reserve technique. This winemaking technique, derived from the Solera Method used in the production of rum and sherry, is widely employed in the making of Champagne and involves vinifying the wine from a specific vintage, usually aging it in wooden barrels. In the following vintage, a portion of the liquid will be transferred to another barrel, and both will be filled with wine from the new vintage. The process can continue for many years until a cuvée of countless vintages is achieved, characterized by greater complexity. However, there are various variants, and in the case of this bottle, the wine comes from a single vat.

Orsi Vigneto San Vito ‘Posca Bianca’ is produced with only white grapes grown according to the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture at about 200 meters above sea level. The wine comes from a perpetual reserve started in 2011 and made through almost monthly top-ups with the wine from the younger vintage. The fermentations always occur spontaneously and during processing, the masses are not subjected to any clarification or filtration operations.

The perpetual wine ‘Posca Bianca’ from the Orsi Vigneto San Vito winery is straw yellow in color with bright golden hues. An aromatic spectrum capable of evoking sweet hints of white flowers, Saturn peach, and honey, supported by slight and refreshing citrus notes. Tight and inviting the tasting, equipped with a pleasant fresh and mineral progression. It is a characterful white wine but at the same time very drinkable, making it suitable for seafood appetizers or mixed fried dishes.
