The Riesling "Tradition" from the historic German winery Robert Weil is a fresh and light white wine suitable for delicate meals in good company. The eponymous grapes are grown in the soils of the Reinghau area and vinified in purity, subsequently undergoing a short aging in steel tanks before bottling. The color is pale straw yellow with brilliant reflections and the aroma is sweet, gentle, reminiscent of ripe summer fruits like peach and apricot, with light hints of citrus peel and honey. The taste is fresh, aromatic, mineral, and has excellent balance in the finish.

Robert Weil Riesling Tradition is a refreshing white that showcases the most accessible profile of great German Rieslings. The history of the winery begins in 1867 in Kiedrich, in the renowned wine region of Rheingau, when the founder Robert Weil, then a professor in Paris, quickly acquired the best vineyards in the area. Today, the winery is led by the fourth generation of the family, which, with 90 hectares cultivated exclusively with Riesling, offers endless variations of this noble grape. Indeed, its remarkable versatility and exceptional oenological attributes make it a versatile variety, capable of providing highly heterogeneous expressions that have won the unanimous approval of the wine world.

The Tradition of Robert Weil is a pure Riesling produced from vines rooted in soils of medium and high depth composed of phyllite, loess, and a mixture of sand, silt, and clay. The southwest exposure is ideal for vine cultivation, as are the steep slopes that reach up to 60%. After the harvest, strictly manual, the grapes are gently pressed and then fermented in temperature-controlled steel tanks. Maturation lasts a few months and takes place entirely in steel.

In the glass, the Riesling Robert Weil Tradition has a pale straw yellow color. The aromatic profile is intense, engaging, and decidedly fruity with hints of citrus, peach, apricot, and other ripe summer fruits. Intriguing, fresh, and mineral tasting, with excellent taste-olfactory correspondence and a balanced finish. A decidedly pleasant bottle to enjoy with assorted cheeses or with oriental fish dishes, provided they are not excessively structured.
