Rosé 'Rock Angel' Chateau d'Esclans 2024
The "Rock Angel" is a rosé wine from Provence with a creamy and soft sip, made from a blend of Grenache and Rolle grapes and partially aged in large wooden barrels. Pale pink in color, it has a delicate and pleasant aromatic profile, with notes of citrus fruits, small red fruits, hints of spices and memories of the sea. On the palate it is fascinating, clean and gentle, with a lively freshness and an appreciable marine note
The Rosé “Rock Angel” from Château d’Esclans is an excellence of Provence. It expresses all the finesse of a now-mythical domaine, which aimed to create a label with a particular profile, richer and more complex, enhanced by the choice of partial vinification in wood. The rosé thus acquires a wider aromatic spectrum, without losing the refined freshness that represents its authentic stylistic mark. It is perfect for accompanying seafood appetizers, steamed shellfish, risotto with shrimp or scampi, and delicate-tasting fish stews.
“Rock Angel” is a Rosé born in one of the most famous estates in Provence. Château d’Esclans has been able to interpret the tradition of the region’s wines by creating legendary labels, an absolute reference in the world of rosés. The Grenache and Rolle grapes come from a selection of the estate’s most suitable parcels and are harvested manually during the night or the early hours of dawn, so they arrive at the winery at a cool temperature. Before proceeding to vinification, the bunches undergo a manual selection and an optical check to choose only perfectly healthy grapes. After destemming, the grapes are cooled to 7-8°C to prevent oxidation and undergo very gentle direct pressing, without contact with the skins. The free-run juice ferments partly in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature and partly in 600-liter French oak barrels. After a few months of aging, the wine is ready to be bottled.
The Rosé “Rock Angel” from Château d’Esclans is the result of meticulous research on this type of wine to express absolute purity, linearity, and expressive essentiality that borders on perfection. The choice of grapes harvested at the ideal time to combine fruit richness and freshness allows for a bottle with an unforgettable taste. In the glass, it presents a beautiful pale pink color. The bouquet offers delicate scents of orange blossom, white flowers, aromas of lemon zest, grapefruit, raspberry, currant, wild strawberries, accompanied by clear iodized sensations. The sip is delicate, harmonious, and finely nuanced, with a savory finish characterized by lively freshness.
