Aurelj Vaira's 'FZ' is a robust red wine of great finesse, produced by young, artisan hands. The grapes are totally destemmed and the vinification involves a period of submerged cap. The nose has notes of ripe red fruit such as cherry and blackberry, with a floral touch of rose and spices such as pepper and tobacco. The palate is structured and tannic, with good freshness and persistence. It pairs perfectly with grilled red meats and mature cheeses, such as braised Barolo
