"Sarnum" is a warm, intense, and powerful red wine made from Sangiovese grapes grown in the Marche region. After aging for 24 months in barriques and at least 12 months in the bottle, it expresses rich and deep aromas of berries, roots, pepper, roasted coffee, and wild spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied and structured, with smooth tannins.

The "Sarnum" from Antica Cantina Valerio Lucarelli is a Sangiovese produced in the Marche hinterland. It is a red intense, structured, and complex wine, which clearly shows how Sangiovese has also found a terroir in the Marche region where it can express itself at interesting quality levels. The long aging in barrique gives the wine an elegant expressive harmony and a good tertiary aromatic profile, which enhances the varietal characteristics of the great grape of central Italy.

The red "Sarnum" is produced in the historic family estate, located in the hilly area of the small village of San Ginesio, in the Marche hinterland between Civitanova Marche and San Benedetto del Tronto. The Sangiovese vines are cultivated at about 600 meters above sea level, on the eastern slope of the first foothills of the Monti Sibillini and the National Park that bears their name. It is an area where viticulture has thrived for centuries, thanks to the cool and breezy climate, the good temperature variations between day and night, and the suitable soils. The vines are in an environmental context characterized by unspoiled nature and the estate is currently undergoing organic conversion. After manual harvesting, the grapes are subjected to spontaneous fermentation in steel or concrete tanks, using only indigenous yeasts. The wine matures for 24 months in French oak barriques and completes its aging process with 12 months in bottle

The wine "Sarnum" takes its name from the ancient village of Sarnano, originally called Sarnum, in honor of the Roman legionary Sarnus, who founded the first settlement on the lands received as a reward for many battles. It is a noble Sangiovese, elegant and powerful, presenting itself with an intense ruby red color. The bouquet expresses aromas of cherry, small forest fruits, cherries in alcohol, toasted notes, and hints of noble woods. On the palate, it is rich and complex, with well-polished tannins from the long aging. The finish is fresh and very persistent.
