The “Mamarì” by Fina is a rich and pleasant expression of Sicilian Sauvignon, produced with vinification only in steel. It has aromas of yellow pepper, many aromatic herbs, tomato leaf, and exotic fruit. On the palate, it is soft, fruity, and refreshing, harmonious and pleasant.
The Sauvignon "Mamarì" from Cantine Fina is a Sicilian interpretation of this great French grape variety, which in the Loire Valley produces some of the most refined and elegant whites in the world. The cultivation at altitude allows for the preservation of freshness and ensures a slow and intense maturation of the aromatic profile of the grapes, thanks to the significant temperature variations between day and night. It is a young and immediate version of Sauvignon, vinified only in steel to highlight the typical varietal aromas and fragrances of the grape. It is a perfect white to accompany appetizers of shellfish, tartare or fish carpaccio, sushi, and sashimi.
The Sauvignon "Mamarì" from the Sicilian winery Fina is a white produced in the highest area of the estate, where the vines reach an altitude of about 600 meters above sea level. The French grape variety spread in Sicily especially towards the mid-nineties. Unlike the more versatile Chardonnay, few areas have proven to host Sauvignon with good qualitative results.suitable for hosting Sauvignon with good qualitative results. The Fina estate manages about fifty hectares in Contrada Bausa, in the area north of Marsala. The vines are cultivated following the principles of organic farming, using only sulfur and copper, to ensure a natural environment that is intact and rich in biodiversity. Since its inception, the winery has always aimed to produce quality wines, enhancing native varieties and international grape varieties that have historically adapted to the area. In the winery, very respectful enological practices are used to preserve the character of the grapes, with the goal of producing wines with an authentic taste and a typically territorial profile.
The "Mamarì" from Cantine Fina is produced with fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by maturation in stainless steel vats and a bottle aging of another 6 months. In the glass, it presents a pale straw yellow color. On the nose, it is characterized by floral aromas, herbal notes, tomato leaf, vegetal nuances, and fruity aromas. The sip is aromatic, rich, and intense, with a juicy mid-palate featuring hints of ripe fruit and tropical fruit. The finish closes with a pleasantly fresh and savory sensation.
