The "Pioneer Block 3" is the most mineral and elegant New Zealand Sauvignon from the Saint Clair line. Exclusively aged in steel, it showcases a chiseled and quite aromatic olfactory profile that spreads aromas of fresh herbs, citrus, passion fruit, and wet rock. The taste shows freshness, minerality, and finesse, closing with a enveloping and long finish

The Sauvignon “Pioneer Block 3” is a New Zealand white wine that originates from one of the most suitable areas of the entire island, the Marlborough Valley. Here, the Sauvignon, aided by the know-how of Saint Clair, manages to express itself with a beautiful minerality, a characteristic that is indeed the main calling card of this label on the palate. The range of aromas on the nose outlines a typically aromatic profile, paying homage to the starting varietal. A bottle to taste when you want to take a cultural excursion into the products of the New World.

This “Pioneer Block 3” is a Sauvignon made from the eponymous grapes, cultivated in the southernmost area of the Wairau, within the Marlborough Valley. Here, the soil is deep, highly suited for viticulture, and influenced by a cool maritime climate. The bunches, once harvested, are immediately transferred to the facilities designated for winemaking, where they are destemmed. The must obtained from pressing the berries ferments in steel containers at low temperatures, so that maintain the fragrance of the primary aromas of the grape. The subsequent aging always takes place for several months in steel, until the wine is deemed ready to be bottled and marketed.

The “Pioneer Block 3” Sauvignon made by the Saint Clair winery reveals itself visually with a light straw yellow color, crossed by slight reflections tending more towards greenish at the rim. The nose is aromatic, with aromas reminiscent of broken rock and vegetal hints, also enriched by touches of tropical fruit and citrus. On the palate, it is of slender body, with a fresh and savory sip, endowed with a finish of good persistence. A white that pairs well with vegetable risottos and first and second courses based on fish and seafood.
