Tequila Plata Clase Azul is an artisanal spirit with irresistible elegance and a fresh, vibrant flavor with notes of citrus, herbs and a light touch of vanilla. The bottle, handcrafted by Mexican master glassmakers, is a true masterpiece. Its bold character makes it a true wonder on the palate. If you are looking for a high quality tequila this is definitely the one.
Clase Azul masterfully interprets Tequila Plata, the entry-level type of the emblematic Central American distillate, offering enthusiasts a creation of superior quality. The great value of craftsmanship is expressed through the shapes and blue decorations of the decanter, exclusively handmade by the glass artists from the center of Santa Maria Canchesda: a crystal that represents a unique work, shaped according to ancestral techniques.
Tequila Plata by Clase Azul represents the pinnacle of white Tequila, that is, the distillate of pure spirit not aged in wood. The blue agaves from the elevated central highlands of Los Altos de Jalisco, naturally matured in the field for a period of 6 to 8 years, provide the piñas that will be crushed for the extraction of the aromatic aguamiel, rich in sugars. The fermentation process is induced by yeasts specially developed for Clase Azul, while cooking in traditional masonry ovens lasts for a period of 72 hours. The Tequila is finally distilled in copper discontinuous stills, to achieve maximum expressive refinement and then blended with pure well water, filtered through a special five-stage process, to reach 40 degrees alcohol. The spirit ages for 60 days in steel tanks.

The nose expresses itself in perfect continuity through very fresh citrus aromas of orange zest and lemongrass, adorned with a balsamic hint of mint leaves. The green notes of matcha tea and Granny Smith apple open the scene to a warmer sensation of vanilla, a spiciness that is also distinctly found on the palate, along with menthol touches, tropical guava, and ripe sweet citrus. The sip is refreshing, crisp, and taut, softened by a perfectly balanced touch of sweetness. Unexpected pairings: from marinated white fish with citrus to cheeses, both fresh and aged, from chimichurri sauce, the typical Argentine preparation based on parsley, garlic, chili, oregano, and basil, to ripe strawberries with white chocolate.
