Teroldego La Vis 2025
The Teroldego from La Vis is a soft, round, and fresh Trentino red wine, aged in concrete tanks and in French oak barrels for a few months. It has aromas of berries, spices, and balsamic herbs, and a fresh, pleasant, and balanced taste.
The Teroldego from La Vis is a wine produced with the most typical and qualitatively interesting red grape variety of Trentino. It is a beautiful expression of wine from the territory, which, thanks to a light aging in wood, preserves the typical varietal characteristics of the grapes and expresses the peculiarities of the area where it is grown. On the nose, it offers beautiful notes of small dark berries, hints of underbrush, delicate spices, and balsamic nuances of medicinal herbs. The taste is elegant, harmonious, with delicate fruit and balanced freshness.
The red Teroldego is produced with a noble and ancient grape variety from our ampelographic heritage, related to Syrah and Lagrein, which has been present since time immemorial in Trentino, where it has found its ideal territory especially in the area of Piana Rotaliana. The vineyards, cultivated by the La Vis winery, are located on the first slopes of the Avisian hills, which, with gentle hilly exposures, delimit the flattest part of the valley floor. They are situated at an altitude of about 370 metersat sea level, with vines trained to simple Trentino pergola or Guyot, with a density of 5000 plants per hectare. After the manual harvest, which usually takes place during the first weeks of October, the grapes are fermented in temperature-controlled steel tanks. The wine matures for 5-6 months in vitrified cement tanks and only in small part in second-passage French oak barrels.
The Teroldego wine produced by La Vis is a beautiful example of an indigenous grape variety vinified in full respect of tradition, aiming to bring back to the glass the true and authentic flavor of the terroir. The vinification and aging are almost free from the contribution of wood, confirming the desire to enhance the peculiarities of Teroldego to make it the true flagship of the reds of Trentino. In the glass, it presents itself with an intense ruby red color. On the nose, it opens with notes of small forest fruits, with floral nuances of violet, hints of soft spices, balsamic berries, and underbrush. The palate entry is balanced, with ripe fruit, dense and elegant tanninsand a finish of great gustatory harmony, with a slight savory sensation.
