Trento Spumante Brut Riserva del Fondatore “Giulio Ferrari” is a Magnum version particularly appreciated by connoisseurs, for a slower evolution of the wine, which better preserves its aromatic characteristics and lively expressive freshness over time. It is the most prestigious label of the famous Trento winery and represents one of the peaks of Italian sparkling wine production. It was born from the desire to create an intense, elegant, and complex Classic Method, capable of highlighting the extraordinary vocation of the territory and enhancing, through a long aging on the lees, the superior quality of the grapes.
The Trento Brut Riserva del Fondatore “Giulio Ferrari” Magnum is the symbol of the prestigious brand of the Lunelli family, who wanted to pay homage to the founder of the winery, a true pioneer of the Italian Classic Method, with this label. It is a prestige cuvée made from a selection of Chardonnay from one of the best crus of the estate. The grapes are harvested from the vineyards of Maso Pianizza, located at an altitude of about 500-600 meters above sea level. The best bunches are pressed very gently, and the free-run must ferments in temperature-controlled steel tanks. After a period of aging, the base wines are blended, and the second fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the Classic Method with a 10-year sur lattes aging before proceeding to disgorgement.
The Classic Method Trento Brut Riserva del Fondatore “Giulio Ferrari” in Magnum version is the choice of those who love the complexity of a great Chardonnay, mature and evolved, a pure expression of a terroir with a historic sparkling vocation. In the glass, it presents a brilliant straw-yellow color with golden reflections, crossed by a luminous perlage, characterized by extraordinary finesse and delicate persistence. The bouquet is refined, with aromas of white flowers, notes of ripe yellow fruit, honeyed softness, and pastry, hints of vanilla and sweet spices. The sip is intense and elegant, with a rich aromatic complexity, supported by a lively mineral freshness, leading to a harmonious and very persistent finish.
