Trento Spumante Rosé Brut Balter

The Spumante Rosé Brut from the Trentino winery Balter is a fresh and elegant Metodo Classico, made with Pinot Nero and Chardonnay grapes. The excellent quality of the grapes, grown above Rovereto, and the aging on the lees for at least 24 months give the sparkling wine a good structure and a beautiful aromatic richness, making it suitable to be enjoyed with appetizers or delicate fish dishes or fish-based preparations from Asian cuisine.

The Metodo Classico Rosé Brut originates from the estate of the Balter family, which has been dedicated to viticulture in Trentino since the late 1800s. The vineyards are cultivated in the hilly area overlooking Rovereto, at an altitude of about 350 meters above sea level. The sunny exposures to the south and the beneficial influence of the Ora del Garda, which rises from the lake towards the Vallagarina, create a temperate climate, with significant temperature variations between day and night. The soils are of ancient morainic origin, with a significant presence of pebbles, stones, and clay, on a deep substrate of limestone rocks. At the end of the harvest,manual, the soft pressing of whole bunches is carried out. The must ferments partly in steel and partly in small oak barrels. After a few months of aging, the base wines are blended and the final cuvée is created. The sparkling process and the second fermentation take place in the bottle, with a resting period on the lees of 24 months before disgorgement.

The Rosé Brut Balter is a Trentino Metodo Classico that well reflects the characteristic fresh and dynamic profile typical of mountain expressions. It presents itself with a delicate pale pink color. The perlage is fine and persistent. The bouquet offers fragrant aromas of wild strawberries, small red berry fruits, citrus sensations, and gently spicy notes. The taste is lively and taut, with a pleasantly delicate fruit that finishes on savory notes and great freshness.
