The Valpolicella Ripasso by Tommasi is a soft, warm and intense red wine with a slightly toasted and woody profile, matured for about 15 months in large barrels. On the nose, it reveals a rich bouquet of dried flowers, fruit in jam and many sweet spices, while on the palate it shows intensity, combined with an elegant fresh-salty energy

The Valpolicella Ripasso by Tommasi is a label where elegance, balance, and structure coexist in a sublime way. The elegance and balance of the blend obviously derive from Tommasi's know-how, a prominent name in Veneto viticulture, masterful in creating consistently punctual and precise bottles. The good body that is felt on the palate is due both to the aging period and the winemaking technique, in which the must undergoes a second fermentation on the Amarone pomace to acquire greater character. A product that always makes a good impression: if you are unsure what to bring to a dinner, choose it!

The Valpolicella Classico Superiore Ripasso originates from a harmonious blend created by the Tommasi winery from various indigenous red grape varieties, specifically Corvina, which is present in the final blend with 70%, Rondinella, and Corvinone. The harvest, strictly manual, takes place at the end of September, and the must ferments in steel containers for 9 days. It is then refermented on the Amarone pomace for 12-13 days, with daily pump-overs, following the typical production process.of Ripasso. It concludes with the aging phase, during which the wine remains to refine for 15 months in large Slavonian oak barrels. After bottling, before being released on the market, it remains for another six months to mature in the bottle. 

This Valpolicella Superiore Ripasso Tommasi reveals itself to the eye with a ruby red color, characterized by slight garnet reflections at the rim. The nose is very well defined, enveloped in a whirlwind of warm notes that range from withered flowers to spices and red fruit, also in jam form. On the palate, it has excellent body, structured, with a concentrated sip that envelops the palate with a fresh and savory flavor; the tannic component is perfectly integrated. A label with which Tommasi positions itself with excellent scores in the main Italian and international trade magazines.
