Vermentino di Gallura 'Taerra' Tani 2025

The Vermentino di Gallura “Taerre” is characterized by a mineral and saline imprint that is felt on the palate, an element of close connection with the climate and the terroir (predominantly rocky in nature), where the Vermentino vines that give rise to it grow. A bottle that embodies the philosophy of the Tani winery, always attentive to honoring and enhancing the flagship grape varieties of Sardinian winemaking, in this case, Vermentino, which reaches truly interesting qualitative peaks in the Gallura terroir.

The “Taerra” is a Vermentino di Gallura that comes from vineyards that are around 30 years old, located on granitic decomposition soils, at an altitude of about 350 meters above sea level. The temperature excursions between day and night contribute to the excellent aromaticity of the grapes, and also the winds, obviously saline given the proximity to the sea, help to permeate the aromas that are felt in the vineyard among the rows. The must ferments in steel at controlled temperature. The wine remains in steel to mature on the fine lees for a period of 6 months. At the end of this period Tani proceeds with the bottling operations.

The “Taerra” Vermentino di Gallura develops in the glass with a bright straw yellow color, decidedly brilliant. The olfactory spectrum moves on a progression of fruity aromas, including exotic ones, enriched by light touches that recall flowers. On the palate, it is light-bodied tending towards medium, with a warm and enveloping sip, from which a clear refreshing and mineral imprint emerges. It closes with a finish characterized by a citrus aftertaste, with good persistence. A label with which the Tani winery tells us about the rocky and Mediterranean soul of Gallura.
