The Vermentino di Gallura "Katala" by Tondini is a rich, intense, and opulent expression, obtained through vinification in steel and skin maceration for 5 days, in order to extract all the aromatic richness of the white grape variety par excellence of Sardinia. It emanates rich aromas of ripe yellow fruit, honey, and aromatic herbs, and on the palate it is soft, long, enveloping, and concentrated.
This white "Katala" is a Vermentino di Gallura Superiore made by the Tondini winery with a fermentation maceration of a few days. This technique, used during the winemaking process, allows for a wine with an intense color, which impresses the nose and palate with the quality and intensity of the aromas and flavors presented. A balanced and harmonious bottle, where the finish is characterized by an excellent retro-nasal persistence. This Vermentino di Gallura Superiore "Katala" is made from pure grapes of one of the most representative varieties of Sardinian viticulture, Vermentino. The vines of this variety grow using the guyot system, within vineyards located about 350 meters above sea level, characterized by a gentle and hilly profile, where the subsoil has a high presence of sand. The grapes, carefully selected by the winery's team,Tondini, fermented in steel, macerating on the skins for 5 days. It then follows the aging phases, carried out in steel for a few months, bottling, and release.
The “Katala” is a Vermentino di Gallura Superiore that presents itself to the eye with a straw yellow color, crossed by light flashes that recall golden tones. The nose is dominated by enveloping fruity sensations, enriched by notes that transport us to the scents of aromatic herbs. On the palate, it is slender-bodied, with a full and concentrated sip, from which emerges a savory and mineral flavor; it finishes with a long aftertaste.
