The Vespa Rosso is one of the most famous reds in the entire production of the Bastianich winery. It is a bottle that elegantly combines indigenous and international grapes, offering a beautiful maturity of fruit on the nose, where tertiary nuances can also be glimpsed, stemming from the aging period in wood. A label that balances power and elegance, and which, among its many merits, also has the ability to further mature in glass for another 4-5 years, manifesting increasingly evolved flavors and aromas.
This Vespa Rosso is born from a skillful blend of both indigenous and international grapes, carefully selected by the team at the Bastianich winery, where alongside Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc, we find Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso. The grapes, selected during the harvest phase, after vinification, proceed to the aging phase, which is extremely important for forming the wine's personality. The maturation takes place in barrique and lasts for a full 18 months, at the end of which bottling and marketing operations begin.
of bottling and marketing. The Vespa Rosso wine signed by Bastianich presents itself to the visual examination with a beautiful ruby color, characterized by shades tending towards garnet. The range of aromas that forms the olfactory profile is deep and broad, with ethereal touches that open up to fruity and spicy notes. On the palate, it has an excellent body, velvety and enveloping, with a finely integrated tannic structure; it finishes with a finale characterized by a spicy aftertaste. A bottle with which the winery reaches important qualitative peaks, as also demonstrated by the excellent scores awarded to it not only at the Italian level but also internationally.
