Single Malt Whisky from Skye, salt and peaty, with pleasant aromas that are slightly smoked and spicy, with a well-balanced warm taste, born from whisky aged for 3 to 25 years
The Single Malt Whisky "Storm" Talisker is a very interesting label that retains the classic spicy and peaty style of the famous Skye distillery, offered from a new tasting perspective. The choice to blend spirits with different aging periods, some very young, some very old, allows for a very broad and complex flavor spectrum that combines fruity fragrance with more evolved and mature notes. All of this is set against a backdrop characterized by the classic peaty, spicy, and saline notes typical of the terroir. A bottle to discover.
The Single Malt "Storm" is a Whisky that perfectly describes the landscape of the North Sea, the coast of the Isle of Skye, and the briny breath of the ocean waves. Talisker is a piece of history of this wild territory. Since 1830 it has been producing spirits and is recognized as one of the most important brands worldwide, particularly appreciated by fans of peated whisky. Its success is based on respect for the oldest traditions, with a use of of excellent malt, of purest water coming from the local springs of Cnoc-nan-Speireag, of peat from the Hebrides, and from a careful double distillation process, carried out with pot stills. All of this translates and synthesizes into a spirit with unique characteristics. The final blend comes from the assembly of different whiskies, aged in oak barrels for a period ranging from 3 to 25 years.
“Storm” is a Single Malt Whisky from Talisker, which from the name alone evokes the stormy and windy atmospheres of tempestuous seas, of waves crashing against the cliffs of the Hebridean islands, pulverizing water and leaving in the air a salty and iodine sensation. And it is precisely this profile that characterizes a whisky of great personality, intense and decisive, without compromise. In the glass, it presents a brilliant golden color. On the nose, it captivates with aromas of ripe fruit and dense malty notes, wrapped in a breath of salty and briny, which gives way to smoky notes of peat and spices. On the palate, it is intense and deep, with the peaty and spicy component in the foreground, which unfolds in a warm, dry sip and a harmonious, very persistent finish, pleasantly characterized by marine notes.
